Family Kitchen

Suppose you were hungry and no one cared. St. Vincent de Paul's Family Kitchen cares and welcomes all into their kitchen. Gracious, caring and hospitable volunteers staff the Family Kitchen, which is opened Monday to Friday regardless of a holiday or weather conditions.

The Family Kitchen has served 20 to 225 persons in one day and is proud to say that there is always plenty of food to go around. The cost to prepare a meal at the Kitchen is approximately $1.50. The staff purchases food products through SVDP's Food for Families and various wholesale distributors in order to maintain this cost.

Several times a month a church will prepare and donate the food for a meal; another church will send raw products and the Kitchen prepares them for the meal, and at times left over food is donated from a banquet, wedding reception or funeral dinner. All food is greatly appreciated and is used.
