2008 will mark the 175th anniversary of the beginning of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
In 1833 Blessed Frederic Ozanam and a small group of college students began a Mission to assist the poor and suffering in Paris, France. 175 years later the Society of St. Vincent de Paul continues that Mission around the world.
To celebrate our beginning the Vincentian Family in the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese will gather for a 2:00 pm Liturgy and reception on Ozanam Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Holy Name Parish in Ebensburg.
All Vincentians, SVDP Volunteers and our supporters are welcome to join us for this celebration.
SVDP RECYCLING
The Society is in need of material for its recycling program.
We currently collect clothing (except winter coats) that is
clean and in good condition but not quite suitable for resale in
our thrift stores, belts, purses and shoes (no boots or high
heals).
For more information on our recycling program and how you can
donate
call 539-4627.
